Celebrating Easter & Living A Resurrected Life.
Easter is so much more than just a single Sunday on your calendar. It’s more than chocolate eggs, Easter egg hunts, sunrise services, and family dinners. Of course, those things are great, but they only scratch the surface of the true meaning of Easter!
At its heart, Easter is the culmination of the greatest story ever told! The story of God’s plan to rescue a very broken world.
If you enjoy this Easter Reading Plan, please pin it so others can find it too!

The Story That Changed History
It begins on Good Friday, where we remember the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made – the sinless Son of God willingly laid down His own life for us on a cross. He took all our sin onto Himself and paid a debt we could never pay ourselves.
With His friends watching, Jesus died on that cross, and with Him, hope as well. To His friends and followers, it seemed like darkness, sin, and death had won.
But then… Sunday came.
The tomb was empty. Death wasn’t the end of the story; it was just the beginning of a whole new one!
Jesus was alive, and this changed everything!
Because of that very first Easter morning, death was defeated, and we get a fresh start. A clean slate. We’re offered a place in God’s family that nothing can take away from us.
This is why we celebrate! It’s not about religion or tradition but rather about a relationship made possible by Jesus’ incredible sacrifice for us.
This very same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in you right now, and this 30-day April Bible reading plan is your roadmap through scripture to discover exactly that. In this April reading challenge, we will walk through the incredible story of Holy Week, the stories of witnesses’ encounters with the risen Jesus, and how to live a new life every single day.
Lent and Easter Devotionals
Before we move on to the reading plan, I wanted to include links to our in-depth Easter devotionals for you to enjoy. These devotionals are linked to the first 6 days of the reading plan (you can find all the Easter and Lent devotionals here).

What We’ll Cover in Our 30-Day Bible Reading Plan
Over four weeks, we’ll take a walk through the Holy Week and then look at the impact that it had and how it applies to our everyday lives. By the end of this April Bible challenge, I hope that the message of Easter will be something you carry with you every single day, not just once a year.
Week 1: Easter’s Holy Week & The Resurrection Of Jesus
Week one follows Jesus’s final days – from a beautiful act of worship and a heartbreaking betrayal to the death of God’s perfect son and the miracle of the empty tomb!
Week 2: Encounters with the Risen Christ
What was it like to see Jesus alive? This week, we take a look at the Scriptures that tell the stories of incredible eyewitness accounts. We’ll read the stories of the confused disciples, a weeping Mary, and see a doubting Thomas become a believer. These stories share how Jesus’ resurrection changed the lives of His friends and followers!
Week 3: Hope for Hard Seasons
Okay, but how does an event 2,000 years ago help me today? This week we take a look at scriptures that make this connection. When life feels stressful, overwhelming, or just plain hard, the resurrection gives us a hope that will not fade. These verses are like an anchor for your life and for your soul.
Week 4: Living with Resurrection Courage
The resurrection of Jesus isn’t just meant to be believed; it’s meant to be lived! This final week of our April Bible reading plan is all about practical strength and courage. It shares scriptures on how we can live with boldness, without fear, and as more than conquerors.

Making This easter Reading Plan Count
Unlike typical Easter Bible study plans that focus only on one week, this April scripture writing plan spans the entire month. That gives you time to really absorb what you’re reading.
Some practical ideas: start a journal (or create a new section) specifically for this month. Write out each verse and what thoughts it brings up. How do the verses make you feel, and how can you apply them to your own life? Write out your prayers for each day in your journal, trusting that Jesus is alive and hears each and every one of them!
My prayer is that thirty days from now, you won’t be the same person. Because that’s what happens when you truly encounter the One who conquered death. Remember, the tomb is empty, and He is alive!
