Step 1: Load Your Source Image

• Upload Your Own Image: Drag and drop any image file (JPG, PNG, WEBP, or SVG) directly into the upload area, or click the drop zone to browse files on your computer or device.
• Use Sample Images: Don’t have an image ready? Click on any of the preset sample buttons (Nature, Sunset, or Minimal) to test out the generator right away.

Step 2: Automatic Extraction

As soon as your image is loaded, our algorithm automatically scans the pixel data and extracts a balanced, harmonious color palette.

Step 3: Choose Your Swatch Count

Need a simple 4-color accent palette, or a rich 8-color design system? Use the swatch selector in the top toolbar to set your desired palette size:

• 4 Swatches: Minimalist & modern
• 5 Swatches: Ideal for web branding (Primary, Secondary, Accent, Dark, Light)
• 6–8 Swatches: Perfect for complex design systems and detailed artwork

Step 4: Fine-Tune and Personalize

• Use the Precision Eyedropper: Click the eyedropper icon on any swatch card, then hover over your image. A built-in magnifying loupe will pop up, allowing you to sample the exact color of a single pixel.
• Manual Color Picker: Click directly on a color swatch box to open a color picker and adjust HEX, RGB, or visual color values.
• Lock Favorite Colors: Click the Lock icon on swatches you love. When you click Re-extract, locked colors remain unchanged while unlocked slots regenerate new tones from the image.
• Sort Colors: Use the sort function to sort the palette by hue.

Step 5: Explore Tints, Shades & Harmonies

Click on any color card to make it active. Below the main palette, you’ll discover two dynamic customization panels:

• Tints & Shades: Instantly view 7 lighter and darker variations of your selected color. Click any shade box to apply it to your active swatch.
• Color Harmonies: Automatically calculate mathematically complementary, analogous, triadic, and split-complementary colors based on color theory.

Step 6: Export Your Palette

Once you’re happy with your design, click the Export button in the top toolbar to choose your preferred output format:

• PNG Image Card: Download a high-resolution visual card displaying color swatches alongside HEX and RGB codes -perfect for client presentations or mood boards.
• HEX Codes: Copy just the hex codes for your palette.
